The Mongolian golf association along with Zaan Terelj Golf club senior member Mr. Ch. Bud have organised the 9th annual Mongolian senior open championship on the 28th of August 2016 at Riverside golf club. This year’s competition saw over 40 people compete to become the best senior golfer in Mongolia with a number of foreign competitors. This year’s competition went to Mr. Choi from South Korea with a score of 84 and was given this year’s trophy that is passed along every year to the winner. Mongolian golf association member Mr. N. Tsogtoo came in second place with a score of 87. The competition has been sponsored every year by Mr. Bud’s company Ochir LLC.

Riverside golf club, which is formerly known as Tuul River golf club played successfully host to this year’s Riverside golf club fall open golf tournament. The tournament played host to over 60 competitors that included members of the Mongolian golf association, the Korean golf association in Mongolia as well as various expat members. This year’s tournament winner was Mr. Mendsaikhan, the 2015 Mongolian National Open Championship, who shot a round of 81. The handicap category first place was taken by Mr. Batzorig who shot a score of -5 to take home the prize. The tournament saw various sponsorship from Zag construction, Mongolica Hotel and Airmarket LLC.
